You are not going to believe this!

I don't believe this! It's another crazy story. Are you ready?

When I got my Sanuks I got a bigger size than what I really wear because I wanted to be able to wear my wool socks with them (you know how cold natured we southerners are). Yesterday I went to their website to see if they had any cute ones that I could "personalize" in a smaller size for this summer, even though I didn't think I would be able to buy another pair by then. It's not that I don't have the money, but every extra dime goes to our adoption because we are ready to get our kidos home! I can't justify buying a new pair of shoes, unless I really need them, thinking that my Bulgarian babies may not have any. So I was just looking at all of the cute stuff on their site when I saw the link to their Facebook fan page. I click on over and see that people are sharing what they have been doing with their Sanuks like "I took my Sanuks hiking today" and "I wore my Sanuks with a suit, they looked awesome", that sort of thing. I thought about uploading a picture of what I did with my Sanuks, but Facebook wouldn't let me, so I just left a little note with a link to the post about them. A while later I checked back in and found a message. It was Bron Heussenstamm, the PR guy for Sanuks. What?? Do you mean to tell me that they actually look at their FB fan page??  Shut up! He said that he loved my Sanuks and that he wanted to send me more to "see what else you could do" !!??? Then he says that he just printed them off and took them to a design meeting! NO WAY! You gotta be kidding me! A few minutes later I see that there was another message waiting.....I think to myself "who could this one be from, the stinkin president!? Is this for real!?"...it was Bron again! This time he simply says, "Thought you might like this for your blog. Its Sanuk Founder Jeff Kelley holding your design in our design meeting! Enjoy".....and then this picture was right there.....IT WAS THE STINKIN PRESIDENT!

So do you believe it?.....I still can't! LOL! Ben and I often pray that God will bless anything we put our hands to so that we can get our kids home as soon as possible, and he continues to overwhelm us with blessings!!!! I gunna get summer Sanuks! Seriously! Can you believe that?

Deuteronomy 15:10 "....the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to."

Well you know that this was a blessing from God for sure!! I'm so happy for you!! I had never heard of Sanucks before you blogged about them. I guess I'm gonna have to check them out. I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes as I crushed my right foot in a car accident a few years ago. I've been a huge fan of Crocs but they don't really go with anything dressy or really anything beyond jeans.

I think you just got yourself discovered!!!

I have been meaning to comment on your last Sanuk post about how insanely jealous I am b/c I love them and cannot fathom how I could get cool shoes like yours. And now I may have a chance someday.

You GO GIRL!

That is awesome!!! When I saw your shoes yesterday they reminded me of the first pair of Sanuks I bought (Scribble design). I have since been looking for more embroidered Sanuks, but haven't seen another design. I certainly didn't think to do anything with a "blank" pair. Hopefully I can get your design sometime!

Very cool! From dress designer to shoe designer...what other awesome opportunities is God gonna give you to be able to get those kiddos home?! He is SOOOO good! Always showing us that He is not only concerned about our needs, but the desires of our hearts, too! Can't wait to "see what you can do" with the next pair of shoes. :) Loved the first pair!

Oh my gosh that is SOO amazing!! That sounds like something that would happen in a book, not real life! I'm so glad they are sending you another pair to see what you can do - too cool. I hope they buy your designs! I just read the last few posts you've written and wanted you to know that I got an "uplift" that I really needed today.

That is so amazing. I just love to see how the Lord uses everything for His glory and purpose. His plan is so big it's exciting to see avenues open that you never imagined were there to begin with. Congratulations and it's really exciting for us outsiders to see how the Lord has given you a promise and how He is fulfilling it.

Best to you and your family.

The Handmade Dress Infomercial: Do you suffer from scrached DVD's?

Do your children cry when they can't watch their favorite movie because of irritating scratches? Are you sick of paying good money for movies that are scratched minutes after you take them from the case? Do you often wish that we could just go back to VHS because you could leave them out in the rain, bring them in and use them for a coaster, and then let the baby throw it for fun and it would STILL WORK!? ME TOO ! . We have struggled for years with scratched movies that were no longer watchable, but not anymore! We have finally found the secret formula to rid you of this nasty little problem forever! . Crest Kids Toothpaste! YES, that's what I said! Kids toothpaste! . A few months back I heard some place that toothpaste would take of scratches and I tried it and it didn't work, then the other day out of pure desperation I tried it my way. IT WORKED! So I decided this kind of news could not be kept secret, I have to tell the world! So I

New triple bunks.

Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! We are almost done with all of the work, just a few loose ends left to tie up, but I couldn't wait to show off his handy-work. This is the girl set. We stained them with colored stain and we really like how that turned out. It's almost the color of cranberries. I still need to paint the boards that are attached to the wall. I'm going to paint them the color of the wall so that it looks like the beds are floating. :)  This is the boy set while still under construction. We ordered new bunk mattresses, but they haven't come in yet. I will show you guys pictures when they are completely finished. We stained these green, it looks like the color of bamboo. The kids LOVE these beds! And oh the space we have now! I'll be back soon with finished pictures! xo, Sam If any of you make beds using these plans could you send us a picture? We
