Yep, I have been sewing away on dresses that will be samples at the Houston Quilt Market. I made four dresses all from Moda fabrics that are on their way to my distributor (Creative Smocking) now. Woo hoo! It feels good to have those done!I will be posting pictures for the next three days of the dresses. Here is the first, a Miss Molly, size 3, (View B) with the ruffle bottom. I made it a size bigger for Madeline because her size 2's are quickly getting too short for her. I know... it's pretty sad. Where did my baby go?
Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! We are almost done with all of the work, just a few loose ends left to tie up, but I couldn't wait to show off his handy-work. This is the girl set. We stained them with colored stain and we really like how that turned out. It's almost the color of cranberries. I still need to paint the boards that are attached to the wall. I'm going to paint them the color of the wall so that it looks like the beds are floating. :) This is the boy set while still under construction. We ordered new bunk mattresses, but they haven't come in yet. I will show you guys pictures when they are completely finished. We stained these green, it looks like the color of bamboo. I read your comment on Amanda's blog- about loosing your baby. On September 11 I lost my baby - I was 20 weeks pregnant and due to complications, she was born and died a short time later. Her name is Alice. I am sure you understand how it feels to experience such a tragic loss. Take care, Rach
