Lets add lace...


I did a couple of things different here...First I took the smocking all the way across the front...


....and then I added a dainty cotton lace edging. 


Very heirloom, no? Start to finish, even with the extra smocking, it took me just over an hour!

To answer some questions, yes, the diaper cover will be included in the pattern. But it will just be a diaper cover not long bloomers. I drafted these to be all one piece with the fold being in the crotch, SO FAST! This little pattern will be very easy to dress up or down, I'm lovin' it! I better get back to work now, Ben is home today to play with Claire. Any more questions or suggestions? xo, Sam

I love this version too!
White on pink is always pretty and I really like the smocking going all the way across the front.

Please don't ask to choose a favorite, they are all home runs in my opinion. :)

Love this version too! Adorable, can it really be that fast?? You do beautiful work! I understand about the bottoms, can another version be with long pants and sleeves, too cute not to take all the way in size ranges.Just adore the smocking.

Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! The Family Closet

It's another gray day so the pictures aren't great, but I wanted to get these posted since I have a few minutes. The family closet has changed my life people!! It has taken my most overwhelming chore from crazy to totally doable. We had to start in the laundry room because that is were most of this process starts. These storage racks went on sale for 69$ right after Christmas and we got 3. We also got several of the $3.50 Steralite clothes baskets because they fit side by side perfectly. In the laundry room I now have baskets labeled (Whites, Towels, Darks, Reds & Purples -we have a lot of those!) to separate clothes into, baskets marked "Clean" for clean clothes, a place for storage (extra dish cloths, table cloths, socks that need a mate). The laundry room is much less intimidating now, I actually like going in there! I also now have room for my drying rack in here!
