Easy like Sunday morning...

Sunday mornings around here have been much different for the last couple of months. I really miss going to church with my family and then to hang out with family after church at my mother-in-law's house, but we have found a way to make it special. Each week now one little one stays home from church to take care of mama. I try to have something special ready for them a snack, a movie, a project, something like that. This week it was Timothy's turn, and just like any little man, he's not hard to please! All he needed was a little junk food! Ben took him the night before to the "candy store" (AKA the gas station) and let him pick out his special prize. He got a bag of chips, some Dr. Pepper, and a bar of chocolate for mama. Sweet boy.

So this Sunday morning was spent watching "boy movies", eating junk food, and looking at unusual and "awesome" chips with my sweet little man. And he even let me take pictures of him! Do you see how dirty his hands are? It's from tending to the fire for me. I noticed them being filthy while he was showing me chips....but I figured, ah, it's his bag of chips, he can eat them with dirty hands if he wants! I mean this is his Sunday. :)

This one was a poisonous snake. He bit it's head off. By the way, how can his bed-head make me so happy? It's so Tim.

Our life right now is all about making things work. Like finding new ways to make a special day stay special. I look forward to being with my church family again and hanging with the family for lunch, but I will probably miss my special Sundays alone with each of these little people that make my life so full.

I'm still hanging in there. I've been in a bit of trouble for the last couple of days (too many contractions on the monitor) but I'm still hoping for a good report on Tuesday. I'm doing the best I can! I'll keep you posted. :) xo, Sam

Samantha, You have some very special kiddos:) You and hubby have done an awesome job raising them. Pat yourself on the back:) I am so sorry you are struggling to keep that little one in the oven. Its just weeks away, and yes, you are doing everything you possibly can. I will pray for you and your family.

I know I don't comment much, but I wanted you to know I am praying for you and that the Lord is taking care of your sweet bunch :) We never know what will happen, but with Faith and Him, all will work out for good! I love this idea with the kids- such a wonderful bonding time! And cool chips too! Take care, and we look forward to seeing this sweet one soon (but not too soon ;))!!

The Handmade Dress Infomercial: Do you suffer from scrached DVD's?

Do your children cry when they can't watch their favorite movie because of irritating scratches? Are you sick of paying good money for movies that are scratched minutes after you take them from the case? Do you often wish that we could just go back to VHS because you could leave them out in the rain, bring them in and use them for a coaster, and then let the baby throw it for fun and it would STILL WORK!? ME TOO ! . We have struggled for years with scratched movies that were no longer watchable, but not anymore! We have finally found the secret formula to rid you of this nasty little problem forever! . Crest Kids Toothpaste! YES, that's what I said! Kids toothpaste! . A few months back I heard some place that toothpaste would take of scratches and I tried it and it didn't work, then the other day out of pure desperation I tried it my way. IT WORKED! So I decided this kind of news could not be kept secret, I have to tell the world! So I

New triple bunks.

Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! We are almost done with all of the work, just a few loose ends left to tie up, but I couldn't wait to show off his handy-work. This is the girl set. We stained them with colored stain and we really like how that turned out. It's almost the color of cranberries. I still need to paint the boards that are attached to the wall. I'm going to paint them the color of the wall so that it looks like the beds are floating. :)  This is the boy set while still under construction. We ordered new bunk mattresses, but they haven't come in yet. I will show you guys pictures when they are completely finished. We stained these green, it looks like the color of bamboo. The kids LOVE these beds! And oh the space we have now! I'll be back soon with finished pictures! xo, Sam If any of you make beds using these plans could you send us a picture? We
