Mama meeting, my house, now.

Why can't I just post that and have you all show up for coffee? I have been so stressed out for the last few days!! Besides fighting a bit of lingering depression from the beach trip, I have had one sick little girl on my hands. We rushed Molly to the ER on Friday afternoon, she was hurting in her upper abdomen and she was having trouble taking deep breaths because of the pain (she had been hurting off and on- mostly off- for three days but nothing serious, until Friday!). Scary- even for a paramedic daddy and a pediatric nurse mommy. They couldn't find anything wrong at the ER and then that night she started running a temp of 102! Molly has been in remission for 5 years now, and I was all comfy thinking that she was just a normal kid with no special issues, when this completely knocked me off my feet. Even more scary. My family doctor called in some medicines Saturday morning when she was still holding steady at 101 and now she is feeling much better, but now my baby has a high fever! I hate this! My family doctor thinks that they could have Strep or Mono. I hope it is something as simple as that. Tell me that this is no big deal. Please pray for my babies! I'm taking them both to the doctor tomorrow morning (Monday), I need a good report. One of my sweet Sunday school boys (one of my little cousins) is also fighting MRSA, so I'm worried about him too. I need a little de-stress meeting with other mamas :( ......xo, Sam

Oh mama, what a scary time. I pray that your babies get better quickly, and that it's something their bodies can fight off on their own.

I always "just melt" when my girls get sick too. Hugs and prayers from here.

((hugs)) I hope they start feeling better very quickly and that no one else gets sick in the process. It's always difficult having sick kids at home. Cuddle those sweet little girls and I hope you get answers soon.

Praying for y'all! I hope everyone is better soon. High fevers certainly can be scary. Keep us posted.

I'm assuming by "in remission" you mean that Molly has had cancer. And that is a scary thing to have niggling in the back of your mind forever. The fact that there are two sick kids now should take down the fear at least a half a notch, but a mama will always worry when her babies are sick. It's a way of life! I will pray for them and I look forward to hearing what you find out.

Oh, how I would love a momma meeting right now and my kids would love the play date! (Got a sick momma here and Daddy is gone for 8 days.) So sorry your kids are sick. I'm praying for them and for you. I think it's even harder with you and hubby being medical people...you know too much and it's easy for your mind to go to the worst. My 2 sister-in-law nurses are the same way. It is a big struggle for them. Praying for your littles and that God will help you to rest in Him and bring every thought captive. Isaiah 26:3 "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you." This verse has helped me through many times of worry and struggle. Update us when you can.

MRSA is quite scary, my brother has it and has to be really carefully about not sharing razors, body washes, towels, etc. but only when he has an outbreak. Our doctor said that sometimes people will only have one out break in their whole lives, where others have it all the time. Actually everyone carries MRSA it is in your nose. I hope that all of you feel better soon, and I am glad that I read the post above and that it is something that can be treated with some medicine and a little r&r.

The Handmade Dress Infomercial: Do you suffer from scrached DVD's?

Do your children cry when they can't watch their favorite movie because of irritating scratches? Are you sick of paying good money for movies that are scratched minutes after you take them from the case? Do you often wish that we could just go back to VHS because you could leave them out in the rain, bring them in and use them for a coaster, and then let the baby throw it for fun and it would STILL WORK!? ME TOO ! . We have struggled for years with scratched movies that were no longer watchable, but not anymore! We have finally found the secret formula to rid you of this nasty little problem forever! . Crest Kids Toothpaste! YES, that's what I said! Kids toothpaste! . A few months back I heard some place that toothpaste would take of scratches and I tried it and it didn't work, then the other day out of pure desperation I tried it my way. IT WORKED! So I decided this kind of news could not be kept secret, I have to tell the world! So I

New triple bunks.

Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! We are almost done with all of the work, just a few loose ends left to tie up, but I couldn't wait to show off his handy-work. This is the girl set. We stained them with colored stain and we really like how that turned out. It's almost the color of cranberries. I still need to paint the boards that are attached to the wall. I'm going to paint them the color of the wall so that it looks like the beds are floating. :)  This is the boy set while still under construction. We ordered new bunk mattresses, but they haven't come in yet. I will show you guys pictures when they are completely finished. We stained these green, it looks like the color of bamboo. The kids LOVE these beds! And oh the space we have now! I'll be back soon with finished pictures! xo, Sam If any of you make beds using these plans could you send us a picture? We
