Such pretty dresses! I love being a mama, and one of my favorite times is when my little guy sees me after we've been a part. I love how his sweet face lights up and how hard he hugs me.

I love how if I have been out past bedtime, when I come home and snuggle my sleeping youngest daughter, she snuggles into my neck to sniff my skin. Even though she is asleep, she seems to know I am home and relaxes.

Happy Mother's Day Sam.
I pray that next year, you have ALL your little chicks under your wing.

I will never forget when my mom came to see me after my first little girl was born and she had to leave early because my sister was also pregnant and ready to deliver. I just remember her looking at her first granddaughter and then at me and tears slowly running down her cheeks from both sadness and joy. It just touched my heart to know how much she loved me and that new sweet girl!

Great giveaway! Love the dresses.
I remember when my son was born, and my DD was 3. At that time, they wouldn't let kids come up to the maternity floor in the hospital. I went down to the end of the hall, and my DH held her up so she could see me in the window. I cried and cried, but at least she knew where her mommy was.

Happy Mother's Day! I need your new patterns! I should have already bought them, and am planning to for sure...but here's hoping for a win! And just recently I was going out to eat for a mom's night out and my 10yo girl gave me her precious books-a-million gift card (still hasn't used it up, and got it in Feb). She said I could use it to get some coffee from Joe Mugs! It was so generous of her and I couldn't stop smiling. Of course she specified I only get a small size!!

Right now is a great momma moment. I've got a brand new baby boy in my arms. My husband is sitting next to me snuggling our two little girls. If I think about it too much I'll start to cry.

Thanks for the chance to win this beautiful pattern.
I love it when my daughter snuggles her little head against me during the day. So sweet.

Having four children means I have a lot of favorite parenting moments. From teaching kids to ride bikes, to my autistic son *finally* getting into a swimming pool, to watching my oldest playing with my youngest and her giggling like crazy at her big brother.

One that sticks out right now is when I brought my oldest into the NICU to see our youngest for the first time. His amazement looking in the incubator and saying "Oh, she's so tiny!" and tentatively reaching in to touch her hand is a great memory for me.

My favorite mama moment was a year ago this May 17th - my daughter gave birth to our first grandbaby. Life hasn't been the same since! She spent the night with us last night & most of the day today. I'm tired but enjoyed chasing her around the house.

You know, these 4 can be so crazy, then all of a sudden, they will tell me something like, Thanks for dinner, it was yummy. The little one can run from across the room at breakneck speed and throw her arms around me and say Mohmay so gleefully. Makes the craziness a little bit better :)

With my mom, I remember going garage saleing in Mountain Brook one weekend. We kept getting lost and coming back to this street called Bethune. Mom and I still joke about Bethune anytime we mention garage saleing. We also had a couple of times when we'd be up in the middle of the night unable to sleep. We always wound up at Walmart at 2 am. We got a lot of really great shopping in and made some great memories.

I think the moment that made me as a Mommy was that first moment I held Sarah. It was so precious to hold her in my arms I didn't want to have to let her go to the nurse for cleaning up. I was afraid I wouldn't get her back. :) Now she is 3 and I can't believe how fast she has grown. Caleb should be here within the next few weeks (due 6/7) and I am sure I will feel that all over again. I love being a mom!

Raising 6 children leaves plenty of precious memories. With each baby, I purposed to capture a special moment and keep it forever. Most of those moments happened late at night, in the quiet, when it was just me and that babe. That first baby is 30 now and expecting her 4th child, but in my mind I can still see and feel that precious, chubby, cuddly infant, nestled in my neck, as I passed the mirror to put her down for the night. That's my special mama moment today. I love sewing your dresses for my grand-darlings.

What a great giveaway! I'm going to enter for the daughter we will hopefully conceive soon (God, I'm talking to you!!!). I have had lots of great moments over the last almost 4 years, but I think the best are the first times I held each of my boys. Knowing that they were out, breathing, and healthy was amazing after two deliveries that got hairy at the end.

Blessings on you this Mother's Day, and I hope you are snuggling all six of your babies soon.
Lovely giveaway Samantha, how generous!! Look at your growing girls!!
I have to say the favourite mother moments are deeper & more apprecaited as my 4 get older. I'm finding my eldest, 11, has her moments of moodiness but it's when we're out alone together or just at home, when she holds my hand & just says a completely unexpected "i love you" or asks me something meaningful & really wants my advice. I can assure you, life just gets better & better, love Posie
Oh & a big Happy Mother's Day to you too sweet lady, love Posie

Samantha,

Your dresses are just as gorgeous as your daughters are! Thanks for doing this giveaway.

It's hard for me to pick just one Mom moment, because honestly I grew up with the best mom ever. No really I did. She was a true example of what every Mom should be. She loved us, cared for us, and most importantly pointed us to Christ leading by example. She was always there for me, and even now at 71, she still is. I could call her right now and say I need her, and she would be here in a flash, and be praying. Thanks Mom! I love you!

Hugs,
Gina

How does a mama, who has been blessed with 4 of God's precious children, choose just one special memory? I'll just have to say that my best mommy moment was the day I realized that God had created these beautiful children, and even though I'm full of faults and mistakes, He trusted me with their care. It was a very humbling and awe inspiring moment.

i love this!
favorite mama moment: gosh, so many. i guess it was the first 8 weeks when we co-slept before transitioned into her crib. i loved waking up with her next to me sleeping.

What cute dresses for two beautiful girls! One of my favorite moments was between me and my now 10 y.o. He was a child who started to talk early but the one thing I couldn't get out of him was "I love you." One morning when he was 22 months old he woke me to ask for breakfast. I leaned down and gave him a kiss on the cheek and said, "I love you, Jack." And he said, "Love YOU, Mama."

I am pregnant with our 7th baby, so life is many times a blur. Homeschooling, changing diapers, kissing boo-boos, playing referee, trying to keep a houe together--it can all make a day go by too quickly. So some of my favorite times are when we are laying in bed with 2 or 3 children there with us that have piled in bed overnight. Although we'd love to have some room to actually sleep, there is such a calm in watching them sleep in such peace next to mom and dad.
Thanks for your generous offer. I hope you have your own awesome, blessed Mother's Day!

I love your patterns and your blog. My favorite memory of Mother's Day was when I was old enough to realize that I had two mamas. You see, my paternal grandmother adopted me and I had my mama that gave me life. As a child, you don't realize the many blessings you have from your mama's, but now that I am an adult I can see why I had two mamas. My grandmother mama was there to bring me up, and my birth mom is in my life now to guide me as an adult. This is why Mother's Day is so special to me.

I have two beautiful children, after three difficult pregnancies. I was so nervous when the ob-gyn told me I had to have a c-section - I have a deep fear of surgery. Nothing describes the joy I felt when the nurse handed me my beautiful baby girl in the beautiful nightdress I brought for her to wear. And what was the first thing I did? I threw up all over her! I know it's gross, but it's my funniest story as a mom. Happy Mother's Day, Sam! You inspire me!

My favorite mom moment is anytime my kids choose to be with me. Any seat in the room is available, but they choose my lap. They can be anywhere in the house, but they choose to be right next to me. They could be doing anything, but they choose to do what I'm doing. They try to take up my hobbies. "Hey Mom, watch this!" How blessed I feel whenever they choose me and ask for more of my attention, time, and love.

One of my favorite memories w/my Mom was the day we went to try on my wedding dress. In the dressing room, she tried to hook my strapless bra for me and wound up yanking me into her lap which almost upset the chair. We laughed SO hard and created quite a ruckus!

Today marks 15 years since the last time I talked to her. She was doped up on pain meds as she died from cancer and died the Wednesday after Mother's Day. Gosh, I miss her.

My mom passed away when I was 18 years old, I am now 36 years old. My favorite memories of my mom was watching her sew in her sewing room, she made all of her clothes, most of my dads and mine. I just recently started sewing now that I have two little girls. It brings me so much joy and it reminds me of my mom! Yesterday I acquired her old sewing machine and serger that my dad had stowed away. I am super excited to get it to my house and start sewing on my mom's machine! What a Mother's day gift to me!

Oh, this is so hard! I have MANY favorite mommy moments. Starting from the beginning, it has to be holding them right after they are born. How exhilarating that feeling is! I love it when I go to buy some new clothes and my little ones exclain, "Oh Mommy, you look so beautiful in that!" and then I hear the chuckles from the other dressing rooms :-) I love to snuggle in bed with my babes and read to them. They love to hear great books just as much as I do. Thanks for having us stop and think about all the good parts of mothering this mother's day! This has to be the hardest, but most rewarding job that I have ever done. The dresses are absolutely beautiful and I would love to win a pattern to sew up one for my little princess. ALL of my moments are Mama moments. But I guess the one that stands out the most is this one: I had my daughter, (2 years old today) 2 days before Mothers Day, 2008. When I called my mother shortly after delivering, I told her, "Happy Mother's Day. I gave you a granddaughter!"
;) So it was a great day to be a mama, as well as a daughter.

My Mom talks to me or sees me and my three children each day. She offers me words of encouragement and I overhear her tell her friends about how great of a Mom I am. But, she fails to mention that I am who I am as a Mom because of her. This year as I reflected on my own experience as a mother, I was reminded to affirm her and celebrate not only the woman she is in Christ, but the woman and mother she is to me. Because I see her every day, I forget that. It in many ways seems a shame to tag only one day of the year of Mother's Day. I know I will strive to celebrate it each day!

You are a generous blogger and a lovely lady, Samantha...I appreciated your comment recently so very much.

How do you pick a favorite mama moment....let's see...

I suppose a very recent favorite moment was when we told our 3 kids that we're expecting a 4th - the ecstacy ran high and the joy was overflowing. The sweetest part of all was that it is a true gift from God - we desparately wanted this baby but had not felt it was the right 'time' and did not know if that time would ever come. Obviously, the Lord thought differently, and I am so grateful.

Beautiful dress!

When I was little my mother always hung clothes out to dry (weather permitting). At a very young age I started helping her. Back then they didn't have the hangers that went on you clothes line to hold the pins. So mom had an old bucket that ice cream came in once that she used. I would hold that bucket for her and hand her the pins. We would talk about everthing and she taught me how to hang up clothes. Now I hang my laundry out and every time I do I think of those moments with my mom.

My own special moment has to be at the end of everyday. I tuck my little ones in and read and sing to them, we say our prays and then they hug me, real big around the neck, kiss me and we say goodnight and I love you. No matter what happens in the day, it is this moment when they are just my little man or girl and nothing else matters.

Things have been less then easy around our home for the past few years, it's getting better now, but I'm having a hard time adjusting and enjoying the goodness and blessings I'm beign given. Last week I was crying about something silly.
My four year old son, popped out of his bedroom, stepped infront of me as I was walking thru the hall and said "It's okay Mama, I know how you feel. Sometimes I feel sad too. But it's okay because I love you." Oh my heart, I couldn't help but smile and cry some more.
