Keeping my hands busy...

I've went back to my first love, crochet, to keep my hands busy through these hard days. There is something so healing in that quiet rhythm.

I'm not sure what I will do with these yet, maybe frame them, I don't know....

What's important now is that I just keep going. One stitch at a time...

...then I'll be alright soon, I know I will...I wonder how many women before me have used a form of hand stitching to heal a broken heart....

You are creating beauty out of your grief, which has to be a good thing. Do look after yourself and may God give you strength.

Those are so beautiful. I think framing them is a wonderful idea...a sweet tribute to your Baby Blessing. Praying for you and your family.

These are so beautiful. I'm praying for you. While we walked out first adoption journey, quite full of heartbreak, I painted murals on the walls/ceiling of 3 baby's rooms. We had moved only once in the previous 15 years, but had three different homes during our 2 1/2 year adoption journey.
Cry, pray, paint, that's what I did.

My prayers are with you during this difficult time. What is the pattern source for the triangular shaped doily that is pink and red?

Many prayers coming your way From Opelika, AL.

Your crochet work is beautiful
where did you learn how to do it ?) I think it is very healing to be creative with your hands. We are waiting to bring our daughter, Maggie, home from China and I have sewed up a lot of the Miss Madeline dresses for her...I call it therapy. I pray and sew.

You know...your little ones are playing with my little ones, I'm just sure of it. We've lost 5...but lost is such a silly word because we know exactly where they are!

You can email me at mayhem5@softhome.net if you need a shoulder.

The Lord is with you. He is a soft pillow to cry on at night and the sun to shine on your face!

When i was going through a rough time last year, I too resorted to keeping my hands busy. I got out my trusted cross stitch patterns and did exactly the same as you. Yes there is something very soothing as the repetitive nature of hand stitching. I think it must slow our breathing and settle our brains and heart.

Currently crocheting a colorful, distracting and neverending granny square afghan as my would-have-been- due date is almost upon me, and trying my best to keep my little kidlets closer to me while my heart mends. My thoughts are with you and I wish you well.

The Handmade Dress Infomercial: Do you suffer from scrached DVD's?

Do your children cry when they can't watch their favorite movie because of irritating scratches? Are you sick of paying good money for movies that are scratched minutes after you take them from the case? Do you often wish that we could just go back to VHS because you could leave them out in the rain, bring them in and use them for a coaster, and then let the baby throw it for fun and it would STILL WORK!? ME TOO ! . We have struggled for years with scratched movies that were no longer watchable, but not anymore! We have finally found the secret formula to rid you of this nasty little problem forever! . Crest Kids Toothpaste! YES, that's what I said! Kids toothpaste! . A few months back I heard some place that toothpaste would take of scratches and I tried it and it didn't work, then the other day out of pure desperation I tried it my way. IT WORKED! So I decided this kind of news could not be kept secret, I have to tell the world! So I

New triple bunks.

Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! We are almost done with all of the work, just a few loose ends left to tie up, but I couldn't wait to show off his handy-work. This is the girl set. We stained them with colored stain and we really like how that turned out. It's almost the color of cranberries. I still need to paint the boards that are attached to the wall. I'm going to paint them the color of the wall so that it looks like the beds are floating. :)  This is the boy set while still under construction. We ordered new bunk mattresses, but they haven't come in yet. I will show you guys pictures when they are completely finished. We stained these green, it looks like the color of bamboo. The kids LOVE these beds! And oh the space we have now! I'll be back soon with finished pictures! xo, Sam If any of you make beds using these plans could you send us a picture? We
