I need some help!

Done! Thank you all so much! Within just a couple of hours I had all the help I needed! Once again you all have swooped in and saved me just when I need you, thank you for that. I chose testers on first come basis this time, whoever offered to do the size I needed first got the job, but I will definitely keep this list for the future patterns! I made a special folder in my inbox and filed away every comment so I know just where they will be!

Again, Thank you so much!

Hey friends! I am in a bind! Could you please help me?? Please!? I didn't have quite as many testers for the Miss Alice as I planned and I just don't feel right about sending this pattern out there without being thoroughly tested.....so....is there anyone out there willing to test this baby and send in a review by Saturday? I would like to have one extra tester for each size ( 3mo- 12 yrs) with sewing levels from advanced beginner to expert. You will get the tester pattern in PDF first and then later you will get the final printed copy in the mail, you will also remain on my tester list for other patterns if you choose to stick with me....and I hope you will. The first ones to respond will get the job! Tell me what size you would like to test, what level sewer you are, and leave me an email address where I can send the pattern. Please remember to leave this information so that others can also see if there is still a size range needed. I will close the comments tomorrow, BUT... IF the size you wanted is already taken just remember that if this ever happens again I will probably pull from this list of willing testers instead of shamelessly begging for help again. I will try to send out the tester patterns by lunch tomorrow! Thank you!!!!!

xoxox,
Sam

Oh, I would love to help! I don't really know what level I am at, maybe a little past advanced beginner? I don't know how to sew a button hole or put in a zipper yet, my next things to learn. I could test a size 7 if it's available, or just add me to your tester list. Thanks for the fun opportunity!

I'd love to test out one of your lovely patterns! I have girls in size 3, 5, and 7 so any of those sizes would work great for me. I've been sewing for 10+ years and have done lots of little girls dresses from patterns and my own designs.

Seems like you might already have enough testers but I'm happy to help. I'm probably an advanced sewer but can view things from all angles having taught several people how to sew. I'm sewing everyday so timing isn't an issue.
Let me know!

I would enjoy being a tester, my girls would be a 10 or 12; my little one would be a 6 or 8. I prefer not to leave an email, but if you could leave an your email as a comment on my blog, I would send it privately to you.

I am definately an advanced seamstress, I've been sewing and designing since I was 8! I studied fashion marketing and design in college (no degree, though - didn't like the marketing part) I did study pattern drafting.

Oh - I guess I would be expert, and I could make any size, In my orginal note, that's just the sizes my girls are - It really wouldn't matter.

I would love to help, but I don't have enough fabric around and can't get to the fabric store in time. If you need any testers in the future, I currently have a 2-month-old daughter and a 10-month-old niece that I could be a tester with.

I'd love to test your dress. My girls wear a size 4-5 (slim), 7 or 8 (plus) and 10 (average build). I'd consider myself advanced beginner. We actually have the next two days off from school so this is one time I could finish this. My blog - dakotasews.blogspot.com

Hmmm, I looked at your size chart again, and my 10-year-old might be closer to a size 12, rather than 10.

I could do a size 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 or 8 if you need somebody to do any of them. Always have tons of fabric on hand, so any time you need a tester I would be happy to help. I'm probably an advanced sewer (been sewing regularly for 7 or 8 years).

New triple bunks.

Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! We are almost done with all of the work, just a few loose ends left to tie up, but I couldn't wait to show off his handy-work. This is the girl set. We stained them with colored stain and we really like how that turned out. It's almost the color of cranberries. I still need to paint the boards that are attached to the wall. I'm going to paint them the color of the wall so that it looks like the beds are floating. :)  This is the boy set while still under construction. We ordered new bunk mattresses, but they haven't come in yet. I will show you guys pictures when they are completely finished. We stained these green, it looks like the color of bamboo. The kids LOVE these beds! And oh the space we have now! I'll be back soon with finished pictures! xo, Sam If any of you make beds using these plans could you send us a picture? We ...

The Handmade Dress Infomercial: Do you suffer from scrached DVD's?

Do your children cry when they can't watch their favorite movie because of irritating scratches? Are you sick of paying good money for movies that are scratched minutes after you take them from the case? Do you often wish that we could just go back to VHS because you could leave them out in the rain, bring them in and use them for a coaster, and then let the baby throw it for fun and it would STILL WORK!? ME TOO ! . We have struggled for years with scratched movies that were no longer watchable, but not anymore! We have finally found the secret formula to rid you of this nasty little problem forever! . Crest Kids Toothpaste! YES, that's what I said! Kids toothpaste! . A few months back I heard some place that toothpaste would take of scratches and I tried it and it didn't work, then the other day out of pure desperation I tried it my way. IT WORKED! So I decided this kind of news could not be kept secret, I have to tell the world! So I ...

The Family Closet

It's another gray day so the pictures aren't great, but I wanted to get these posted since I have a few minutes. The family closet has changed my life people!! It has taken my most overwhelming chore from crazy to totally doable. We had to start in the laundry room because that is were most of this process starts. These storage racks went on sale for 69$ right after Christmas and we got 3. We also got several of the $3.50 Steralite clothes baskets because they fit side by side perfectly. In the laundry room I now have baskets labeled (Whites, Towels, Darks, Reds & Purples -we have a lot of those!) to separate clothes into, baskets marked "Clean" for clean clothes, a place for storage (extra dish cloths, table cloths, socks that need a mate). The laundry room is much less intimidating now, I actually like going in there! I also now have room for my drying rack in here! I painted a huge henna design on the wall to pretty it up a bit. :) The Caffee sign ...
