Where have I been???

Hello friends! There are so many things going on here at the moment, which is why I haven't been here much for the last week or so...
.
My baby sister, Rae, is due any day now (she was 4 cm dilated on Wednesday when at the doctor!), and we have been in a mad rush to get her settled into her new house. I was at her house until 1 AM Saturday morning doing the last of the cleaning and unpacking. Poor baby! Her little feet were so swollen they looked like puffy marshmallows. In fact, I kept telling her when she would try to get up to work "Sit down marshmallow feet!" and "Get out of here and go put your fat feet up!" LOL! She would just giggle at me and head back to her spot on the couch. We really have had a good time all working together the last few days, that usually happens when we are all deliriously tired and sore. We just get ridiculously silly after about 8 hours of work. You know how that goes.
.
Besides all that.... Ben and I have been occupied with something else for the last month or so too. We are making some major life changing decisions in the next couple of weeks and we are really needing God's guidance. Soon we will be able to share more about these big changes...but for now, would you pray for us? God is moving our family in a new direction - and as you know that can be exciting, scary, and overwhelming all at the same time. It would mean so much to me during this time to know I have people from all over praying for my family! Thank you!
.
I will be back soon! Hopefully with baby pictures!

You have my prayers! Change is always a bit scary, but often it's what we need to do.

I will be praying for you. Change is scary, but I was reminded this week that the command "Do not fear" is the most common command in God's word. Hope that helps.

Our family is in the midst of a big job change and move across Oregon right now, so I'm sympathizing with your decision-making! Praying for a clear direction for your family...the Spirit brings peace when it's right..."all things work for the good of those who love HIM and are called according to HIS purpose." Love your blog and sweet little dresses :)

The Handmade Dress Infomercial: Do you suffer from scrached DVD's?

Do your children cry when they can't watch their favorite movie because of irritating scratches? Are you sick of paying good money for movies that are scratched minutes after you take them from the case? Do you often wish that we could just go back to VHS because you could leave them out in the rain, bring them in and use them for a coaster, and then let the baby throw it for fun and it would STILL WORK!? ME TOO ! . We have struggled for years with scratched movies that were no longer watchable, but not anymore! We have finally found the secret formula to rid you of this nasty little problem forever! . Crest Kids Toothpaste! YES, that's what I said! Kids toothpaste! . A few months back I heard some place that toothpaste would take of scratches and I tried it and it didn't work, then the other day out of pure desperation I tried it my way. IT WORKED! So I decided this kind of news could not be kept secret, I have to tell the world! So I

New triple bunks.

Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! We are almost done with all of the work, just a few loose ends left to tie up, but I couldn't wait to show off his handy-work. This is the girl set. We stained them with colored stain and we really like how that turned out. It's almost the color of cranberries. I still need to paint the boards that are attached to the wall. I'm going to paint them the color of the wall so that it looks like the beds are floating. :)  This is the boy set while still under construction. We ordered new bunk mattresses, but they haven't come in yet. I will show you guys pictures when they are completely finished. We stained these green, it looks like the color of bamboo. The kids LOVE these beds! And oh the space we have now! I'll be back soon with finished pictures! xo, Sam If any of you make beds using these plans could you send us a picture? We

I wanted to make something to go with the cardigan I made for my coming niece, so I decided on a wee fairy bonnet.
