Meet the newest member of our family......

Dorothy! Isn't she lovely! When I saw my cousin Amy's pink Kitchen Aid last Christmas I was instantly in love! I have wanted one ever since but they are just so expensive.....A few days ago Ben came in the side door through the kitchen (he never does that) and I caught a glimpse of a box and then I heard him sit something heavy on the table. I whipped around to look and it was her!!! My very own pink Kitchen Aid! She's finally mine! Molly and I decided her name should be Dorothy. I can't wait to really put her to work, we have only made cookies and a cake so far. I bought the ingredients last night to make a few deserts for Thanksgiving and I can't wait to start!
It feels like she has always been here now. When I walk through the kitchen and see her sitting there it just makes me smile. She's home.

Awww. Congratulations! She's so cute. iIf I ever get my hearts' desire, my Dorothy will be red. Alhtough, you are kind of swaying me with the pink. But the pink wouldn't go with my kitchen. Loving those bowls, too.

A Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, dearie!

I love that pink , but it would never work in my kitchen. Mine is almond, bought on a clearance. You go with what works...

I am jealous! My sister just got one in green, excuse me, pistachio. Your pink one is pretty on your counter, especially with the pyrex. I wish we had a side door, maybe that is why I don't have a Dorothy? Have a great Thanksgiving!
PS Your dolls are sooo cute!

Yes, she is. I love the pink one. I had to settle for white, and not quite as nice as yours, but I love her just the same. It is so easy to clean and use. I would not trade it for the world. I have had mine for 5 years. What a great Xmas gift.

Aaaah, that is cool. What a good boy. I got my white one as a hand me down from my mom when they came out with the colors she bought a new one. I would love a color one but having one at all is a blessing. They are awesome. I use mine a lot. They make good mashed potatoes and knead bread just right, even though sometimes it is fun to knead dough by hand. I bet the husband is expecting an especially yummy and big thanksgiving dinner now.
Oh, she is DARLING!!!! I got a white one last CHRISTmas. I forgot what I named her though, isn't that HORRIBLE?!?!?! LOL

Congrats on your new baby!

Dorothy is a beauty!

I don't have a KA mixer, and I think I would probably pick the red since it would go better in my kitchen. But the pink is REALLY pretty. :)

That is so exciting. I felt the same way when I go my Tangerine one. My coworkers pitched in and bought her for me since I always bake for them. I named her Tanja

Will Turner,

Most any department store should have them. My husband found mine at Bed Bath and Beyond, but I know you can also get them at Belk, Sears, and Macys.
Hope this helps!

Sassy.M,

Well what do you think?

Sparkles,
Elizabeth thought it was sweet too. But my dear friend Jack Sparrow didn't think so. He tells me to spend my time thinking about treasure.

I will consider your advice.

The Handmade Dress Infomercial: Do you suffer from scrached DVD's?

Do your children cry when they can't watch their favorite movie because of irritating scratches? Are you sick of paying good money for movies that are scratched minutes after you take them from the case? Do you often wish that we could just go back to VHS because you could leave them out in the rain, bring them in and use them for a coaster, and then let the baby throw it for fun and it would STILL WORK!? ME TOO ! . We have struggled for years with scratched movies that were no longer watchable, but not anymore! We have finally found the secret formula to rid you of this nasty little problem forever! . Crest Kids Toothpaste! YES, that's what I said! Kids toothpaste! . A few months back I heard some place that toothpaste would take of scratches and I tried it and it didn't work, then the other day out of pure desperation I tried it my way. IT WORKED! So I decided this kind of news could not be kept secret, I have to tell the world! So I

New triple bunks.

Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! We are almost done with all of the work, just a few loose ends left to tie up, but I couldn't wait to show off his handy-work. This is the girl set. We stained them with colored stain and we really like how that turned out. It's almost the color of cranberries. I still need to paint the boards that are attached to the wall. I'm going to paint them the color of the wall so that it looks like the beds are floating. :)  This is the boy set while still under construction. We ordered new bunk mattresses, but they haven't come in yet. I will show you guys pictures when they are completely finished. We stained these green, it looks like the color of bamboo. The kids LOVE these beds! And oh the space we have now! I'll be back soon with finished pictures! xo, Sam If any of you make beds using these plans could you send us a picture? We
