Just checking in....

Hey friends! Sorry I have been so scarce, but let me tell ya I have been bu-sy!! Miss Madeline was officially DONE on Saturday, so I have been shipping out pre-orders and working on all the other time consuming things that come along with pattern making. It feels so good to be done! I have a couple of blog awards coming up (I should have already posted about them but I'm a big busy loser) but that will just have to wait, because my kids need mama. Today I have a little crochet project to work on and we are going to take the day OFF. We will eat (I've already had one request for potato soup), watch, play, and pretend whatever they want! It's time for things to slow down a bit. I have been struggling through this yucky morning sickness, working on the pattern every spare minute, and taking care of the kids and the house (OK not so much the house, it's bad). I am worn out and so ready for a day like today! This picture was taken from our porch at the beach. Pretty cool huh? (Am I still allowed to say cool? What is the age cut-off for that word? Maybe I'll ask Ben, he usually knows about these things. lol!) Happy Lazy day everyone!

Love the heart, our God is so creative! Hope you had a relaxing day with your kids today. Our girls started school at our church's school today so there were some major changes for them. But, they all had a great day (after the youngest sobbed first thing this a.m.) and the chatter was non-stop after they got home. That makes a mama's heart happy! By the way, my mom is in her 60's and STILL says "cool", hee hee! One of these days (very soon, I hope!) I'll post again on my blog, but right now I have a slow computer and it takes forever! I'm so glad you have the morning sickness...not because you feel yucky, but because you're pregnant! Still rejoicing with you on that happy news, friend! Love ya!

Samantha,
Never ever stop saying cool!
I agree-how awesome is God to put that heart in the sky? And for you to have your camera handy to capture it! (I'll never stop saying awesome either)
How you get over that crummy morning sickness soon. Just keep taking care of yourself and that beautiful family. Hope you day off was fun.

i think the cloud picture is totally COOL! make me think that God was telling you that He loves you today! :)
That is cool. I just posted a sky picture taken from my bedroom window. I love the sky. It's really great in different places, like Montana and Paris. When I travel I like to take pictures of the sky.

The Handmade Dress Infomercial: Do you suffer from scrached DVD's?

Do your children cry when they can't watch their favorite movie because of irritating scratches? Are you sick of paying good money for movies that are scratched minutes after you take them from the case? Do you often wish that we could just go back to VHS because you could leave them out in the rain, bring them in and use them for a coaster, and then let the baby throw it for fun and it would STILL WORK!? ME TOO ! . We have struggled for years with scratched movies that were no longer watchable, but not anymore! We have finally found the secret formula to rid you of this nasty little problem forever! . Crest Kids Toothpaste! YES, that's what I said! Kids toothpaste! . A few months back I heard some place that toothpaste would take of scratches and I tried it and it didn't work, then the other day out of pure desperation I tried it my way. IT WORKED! So I decided this kind of news could not be kept secret, I have to tell the world! So I

New triple bunks.

Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! We are almost done with all of the work, just a few loose ends left to tie up, but I couldn't wait to show off his handy-work. This is the girl set. We stained them with colored stain and we really like how that turned out. It's almost the color of cranberries. I still need to paint the boards that are attached to the wall. I'm going to paint them the color of the wall so that it looks like the beds are floating. :)  This is the boy set while still under construction. We ordered new bunk mattresses, but they haven't come in yet. I will show you guys pictures when they are completely finished. We stained these green, it looks like the color of bamboo. The kids LOVE these beds! And oh the space we have now! I'll be back soon with finished pictures! xo, Sam If any of you make beds using these plans could you send us a picture? We

A Wee Newborn Fairy Bonnet Pattern

I wanted to make something to go with the cardigan I made for my coming niece, so I decided on a wee fairy bonnet.
