Sorry for the absence. We've been busy!

Last week my washing machine called it quits. LOL! To tell you the truth I wasn't too sad to see it go. We were not on very good terms. It was one of those cheap stack ables that was averaging 2hrs to dry 1 load of clothes. Not good when you have this many people to wash for. By the way I think Maddie counts as at least two grown people with the amount of laundry she produces, but who would expect Cinderella to wear the same dress all- day- long? That's just unheard of! As usual it was a blessing in disguise. We found these scratch and dent at two different Lowes stores for $800! That is the price of just the washer! Here is the best part, it washes THREE loads at a time!!!!! And the dry time equals the wash time! This has changed my life, seriously, you know the rants I have had about laundry. I caught up about 10 loads, all the curtains, and even a couple of quilts IN ONE DAY! It was heaven on earth! OK, so yes I admit it, I am in love with my new washer and dryer.

Then I got to keep this group of crazy kids! They are my little cousins, aren't they sweeties (one of the girls is not pictured, she was finishing up a long nap). We had a blast, we played hide and seek in the dark, had pizza, and watched a movie. The best part was when my Aunt called to say she was on her way the kids asked if she could stay gone a little longer. LOL! Sweet babies, they were having so much fun. Then Monday Miss Molly woke up with tooth trouble, kind of. She had a fake tooth in front from an abscess she had when she was 2yrs old. I noticed blood around the tooth and it was red and swollen, on closer inspection I discovered her new tooth pushing the fake one down! This new discovery was bitter sweet; Molly was excited that she would "look like an 8yr old" with a missing front tooth, but then sad that she won't be able to play tricks on people with the fake one anymore! LOL! That's my girl. Molly is always center of attention at the dentist office, so she liked that too. She is such a fun kid! Mama, on the other hand is not adjusting well. She looks so big with her front tooth out. Like a kid. A big kid. *sniffle* How does it happen so quick? I find myself just staring at her, she is so beautiful. A beautiful girl, not baby.

For the rest of the week I will be working on patterns, hopefully. I'm forcing myself out of a week long slump. Wish me luck!

PS. I have a sweet friend, Kim, who has just started on Etsy, You should stop by! Just click HERE.

I've been searching craigslist and stalking Lowes for a deal like you found. Lucky, lucky lady! I'd say I'm jealous, but I have a lot less laundry to do than you, so I'm happy you found such a bargain. We bought Alyssa one of those stackable sets on craigslist for $100.00 and her dryer is so much faster than mine, it made me realize how much energy I'm burning trying to dry towels. Have fun with your new toys : )

Swanky dyer. I have a stackable too and takes about 60 minutes to dry. But now that it is super hot here I can do 10 minute dries on the line outside. Happy laundry.

Sophie is so excited that Molly lost a tooth, but still can't wait until she looses her own. She thinks that she will be so cool with a snaggle tooth smile. I'm with you on wishing that they would stay little with their baby teeth forever.

My son lost his two front teeth this past year. I remember mourning the loss of his familiar smile when that first one came out.

Pea green envy over the new appliances. Yay for you!

Her smile is even more beautiful with that gap!

Molly you are so beautiful! Are you drinking with a straw through that hole? That's the fun part of the missing tooth in front.
Samantha, I have a similiar washer and dryer. You will love them! Just be sure to use the "HE" detergents, you don't need a lot on the front loaders. Now, if you can just find someone to fold for you, you will have it made!

Thanks for your sweet comment at Dancing Robot. I'm now officially envious of your washer/dryer combo, and those adorable dresses! I bookmarked you so I can get that pattern soon. Beautiful!!! And I know what it's like seeing those teeth fall out. My 8 year old "Robot" has all four bucky beavers out now and it is truly bittersweet. Have a fabulous weekend!

The Handmade Dress Infomercial: Do you suffer from scrached DVD's?

Do your children cry when they can't watch their favorite movie because of irritating scratches? Are you sick of paying good money for movies that are scratched minutes after you take them from the case? Do you often wish that we could just go back to VHS because you could leave them out in the rain, bring them in and use them for a coaster, and then let the baby throw it for fun and it would STILL WORK!? ME TOO ! . We have struggled for years with scratched movies that were no longer watchable, but not anymore! We have finally found the secret formula to rid you of this nasty little problem forever! . Crest Kids Toothpaste! YES, that's what I said! Kids toothpaste! . A few months back I heard some place that toothpaste would take of scratches and I tried it and it didn't work, then the other day out of pure desperation I tried it my way. IT WORKED! So I decided this kind of news could not be kept secret, I have to tell the world! So I

New triple bunks.

Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! We are almost done with all of the work, just a few loose ends left to tie up, but I couldn't wait to show off his handy-work. This is the girl set. We stained them with colored stain and we really like how that turned out. It's almost the color of cranberries. I still need to paint the boards that are attached to the wall. I'm going to paint them the color of the wall so that it looks like the beds are floating. :)  This is the boy set while still under construction. We ordered new bunk mattresses, but they haven't come in yet. I will show you guys pictures when they are completely finished. We stained these green, it looks like the color of bamboo. The kids LOVE these beds! And oh the space we have now! I'll be back soon with finished pictures! xo, Sam If any of you make beds using these plans could you send us a picture? We
