I'm looking for testers.
Hey bloggy friends! I have been working hard on my new pattern but I still have a good bit of work left. I have the pattern drafted out in sizes 18mo- 6yrs. I'm working on the instructions now. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to test the pattern for me?
You will get the pattern for all sizes with instructions (it will be the rough draft) and when I have a final draft I will mail all the testers a final copy (you know... the pretty finished version). What I need from testers? Any suggestions for wording or better instructions. Chest and length for the child and size that worked best. A picture would be great, but is not required. I would really like to have a couple of testers for each size. So if you are interested chime in. I would like to know what size you would be making and your skill level. I am hoping to have beginners up to advanced sewers volunteer. I should be ready to send the first drafts in the next week or so (don't hold me to it LOL!).
I LOVE THIS DRESS! There is no placket and no buttonholes! Does it get any better than that? View A is without the ruffle and View B is with. The front and back of the dress is the same. I have made several of these dresses in the last few days and start to finish it takes about two hours. PERFECT! When I get the pattern in the shop it will be available for instant download or in print. I can't tell you how excited I am about this! I have really enjoyed this and I am already planning other patterns. Sorry for the dark pictures, I took them inside at 10pm. The yellow dress is for Maddie. I made her a little flower garden on the skirt and hand whipped rick rack on the curved bodice. The pink and brown is for Miss Molly, I just used the two fabrics and added tiny rick rack to the bodice. I like the way these two turned out. I think that the next dress will be a heirloom version. What do you think of "Miss Molly" for the name of the pattern?
I decided to add another picture of this version I made a few days ago. I know it is better to see the dress on. Oh and that strawberry design is in the shop for FREE! Run over and download one ;) Just click here.

Very cute dress by the way and I would probably buy the finished pattern anyway.
HI Samantha,
I would love to test, but I see that you have had many offers, I would love to help with the pattern instructions for you, & any ideas to add some tiny heirloom capabilites to the already darling dress. I consider myself a very accomplished seamstress, no one is an expert!! We all learn new things everyday. I would like either 18month or 2.

The dress is really adorable!!! :o)
I'd love to test it if you still need testers. Savana is 4 and wears a size 110 (so.....5t i think) I have a bunch of wovens that I don't know what to do with !

Looks like a fun pattern for the summer!

Forgot to say - I am intermediate sewer. I have been sewing garments for over 20 years.
Ok. I'm crazy. I just went back to reread your message.
I have 2 nieces. 1 is 5 years old (looks to be about the size of your DD in blue strawberry dress) and 2nd one is 2 1/2 years old typical sized.
It's too early to be posting that is for sure. *LOL*
I would be thrilled to test for you. I can do 18 months, and a size 4 for my neighbor if you need someone for that size. I am an intermediate-advanced sewer. LOVE the name!
Karen
I would love to be a tester.

O!O! ME!!ME!! I wanna test!! Please, please choose me! I would like to make a size 5 - or near equivalent to RTW. I'm an advanced sewer and can do heirloom techniques, too. Also contact me about printing your pattern??? If you don't already have that info.

Oh Samantha! I would love to do this I have 3 girls (18m, 4T, and 6/7). I would love to try any or all! I am probably intermediate, but a little rusty in my sewing so consider me a beginner. I am so excited to have a chance to try out a pattern that they can just slip on and go. Great job!
Christina
Me too! I'd do a size 5t for my skinny niece and a 2/3t for my chubby niece. Thanks.

Hi there,
I would love to test your pattern in size 18 month and size 6. I'm an advanced seamstress. Thanks!
I'd love to test for you. I'd be sewing a size 3. I absolutely love the style! I'm an intermediate sewer.
I'd love to test also. I'd be making an 18 mo size and a 5. I'm an advanced beginner.
Thanks!
Oh my I would love to be a tester. I just did a little bird applique you have posted and love it. I am an intermediate sewer and probably a advanced beginnner garmet sewer. My gf is having a new baby and this would be perfect for matchy dresses for her other girls. I would love to sew a 18m, 2t, 4t and probably a 7/8 size. Thanks plainjanesews (on sewing mamas)
I would love to test for you,, I would be making a 3T - 4T and would say I am an advanced beginner sewer. huffjoann from Sewingmamas.
huffjoann @ hotmail . com.
Thanks this dress looks so cute and perfect for summer!
I left a comment on sewing mamas as well to test this. I know you have a ton of offers. I could make the 4T or maybe 3T size for my daughter. I could even do the smallest size. Don't have anyone to try it on, but if you want it done...I could do it. ;)
Hi! I'm an advanced sewer and I'd be happy to help you out :) Looks like you have plenty of offers, though ;) Love the vintage style curved yoke on the dress! I can send you some photos of past creations, here's a link to a few in my HC gallery hyenacart.com/vintagecharm/index.php?c=19&p=31266
best wishes!
Loral
If you're still looking, I would love to test for you--I'd be making 18 months and 5 and I'm an intermediate to advanced seamstress. sandrahd from sewingmamas.
I would love to test. Found your link from SM. I would make two of them. one in the 18 mos size and one in a 3 or 4 since my almost 5 year old is very small. My skill level is intermediate.
You've already got a mountain of offers, but I'll toss my name in there. I'd love to test it. I could do a 3 (Addie would probably wear a 3).
I would love to test this out for you. :) My niece is a size 4. :) I feel I am an intermediate level. Thanks!
I would love to test and I have a bunch of sizes. I have a 17 mo old, 4 yr old, 6 yr old, and a 9 yr old. I saw your post on SM. I am tiredmommyof8. I am an intermediate + level.
I would love to test for you if you are still looking. I could make a 3 and a 5/6-she takes both depending. Dress is adorable-love that there are no button holes. godek@verizon.net I'm an average sewer. Dawn
I'm up for it, Samantha, if you still need testers. L is on the verge of a 3 and I'm probably an intermediate level sewist.
Well, I think I'm commenter #38, but if you need any more testers - I'd love to. My girls wear a size 2 and a size 8.
Thanks!
Hannah
I'd love to be one of your beginner testers. I have daughters in 2t and 3t sizes (on the small side) and have only been making dresses/sewing at all for about 6 months. I'm stephs on Sewing Mamas. Thanks!
If you need any size 4 testers I would love to test the pattern for you! I am jen07 on SM :)
Throwing my name in the hat. My daughter is 2 but wears anywhere from 12mo-2T so I would think an 18month would be a good size to test on her (middle ground) I am novice to clothes sewing. I sew mostly purses and such.
Love too! I have a almost 7 year old, but she's super skinny and on the short side. I am not quite a begginer but not quite an intermediate sewer.
I would love to test the pattern for you. I have 2 gals, one is wearing size 2, the other moving into size 5. Thanks! Delia

Hi, it looks like you have tons of offers for testers BUT if you need anymore I'd love to test for you. I would be making a 3T. I'm RachelFlores on Sewingmamas and my email is RachelElizabethFlores @ yahoo.com Your dress pattern is adorable!
I'm a beginner and have 2 1/2 yr old, I could make a 3T if you still need a beginning sewer for that size. Sounds fun!
Samantha,
I'd love to test the pattern for you. I can test for any size you need, between home, other family and church we can cover just about all of those sizes. :)
I can't wait for the pattern, tester or not...it is precious!
Awww.. That is adorable! I would really love to test for you, I am a bit passed beginner and would sew a size 5 or 6 :) My daughter loves your dresses pictured :)
I would love to test it too, but it looks as if you already have my DD2's size more than once over. I will test any size you need me too, there is always a lttle girl in need of a new dress.
Me me me! I have a 5yo daughter, so I'd make a 5 or 6. I'm pretty reasonably good at language stuff, so I could make suggestions on wording. I'm quite an experienced seamstress, but not top-quality. And I'm probably too late.
Jean (the homeschooling librarian one)
You have many testers already! Stop by my blog and let me know via comment box if you still need anyone - they are such cute patterns! God Bless! - Adrienne
I'm probably too late, but if you still need anyone I'd REEEEEEALLY like to test one in any size. My daughter is a size 4 but I have nieces in a variety of sizes.
If you still need people, I'd love to test for you. My daughter is a tricky fit. I usually make her a size 2 or 3 in pattern sizes but have to extend the length beyond what the pattern allows for, so if the pattern size is 1/2 through size 4, I make the size 2 and cut it longer than the 4.
Wow, commenters really come out of the woodwork when you give away something free, don't they?! Ha ha! Wish you had this in a bigger size, I would test it for you. It is adorable! I think I may have to "wing" one of my own and try it out. And, by the way, I think "Miss Molly" is the perfect name! Hee hee! Have a great day!
Seems like you have a lot of people, but just in case :)
I really need a 24 months... Does it go straight from 18m to 2T?
She is not quite ready for 2T, but way outgrown the 18M!!
I really love this, I am an intermediate sewer- I have been doing it for a long time but just recently started doing it all the time.
HI, I would love to test. I am an advanced sewer. Will do any size. Thanks!
I'd love to test but dd is only about a 9 to 12 months. If you have any interest in making it smaller though please let me know. It would look cute on a baby as well I think.
Stephanie
I'd love to be a tester! My girls are size 4 and size 6. I'm a good seamstress and you can contact me thru my website http://www.cornpatchcreations.net
I love that pattern I am at an intermediate level in sewing and would be sewing a size 6.
If you want yet another tester---here I am! My daughter is 3 years old and wears a size 3/4 in rtw. I'm an advanced sewist.
I would try a size 6
I am a Beginer/intermediate sewer

Hi Samantha...I sent you an email but thought I'd comment here as well. I would be happy to test as well. My littest girl is size 5...but I can test any size for you. I have pattern-tested before and have edited many sewing patterns recently for another pattern company. Let me know if you are interested. My sewing skills are over 30 years in the making so I'd say I'm an advanced seamstress. Thanks!!
Let me know if you need any more testers.
I have a thin and long size 6 girl and an average build size 2 girl :)
~Erika (aka BugzNBean)
I see I got here a little late. I love this dress. I would love to test if you still need me. I am a very experienced sewer. I can make whatever size you need.
Thanks,
Kelley
If you are still looking for testers, I am willing. I have a chunky 14 m/o (size 18m) and a tall, thin 3 y/o (size 4t or 104). I am Monica G at sewingmamas.
It's me again (Monica G). Forgot to mention that I am an intermediate seamstress.
I will be a tester- I am an intermediate sewer- my daughter is 18 months and wears about 18 months-2T!

I'd love to test if you still need testers. I love the name Miss Molly! It really suits this very adorable dress. My DD wears a 2t/3t and my email is bubblegumcutee at aol dot com. ~Kari (dzdawg02 at SM)
I would love to test your dress. I am a pretty good sewer (Intermediate/Advanced in childrens) I would love to test a smocked version and an heirloom version. My daughter is a size 2.
I am a beginner and would love to try this dress. daughter would need 18-24 months. melanie_n_ringo@hotmail.com
I just came accross your blog and love this little pattern. If you're still looking for testers, I'd love to make this one for my 5 year old daughter. I've been looking for the right pattern for a couple fabrics I've been holding on to.
Hi! I would LOVE to test, but I'm sure I'm too late. I would be making a size 2 for my Molly!
I love to make her things that are named for her(sort-of), but besides that, this one is cute!
I am an advanced smocker, but only intermediate seamstress.
