Mixed emotions.

Change is a comin, mostly good, but some scary. I am in the process of opening an online shop and I will be moving my blog. I am so excited because when the shop is open you will be able to buy patterns and books, and download them instantly! This will save me a lot of time and customers will have better service. But I am so scared about the blog move! I will most likely be moving to Wordpress, and when I figure it out, I will have much better service. It will be so much easier to reply to your comments, and I will have a more user friendly layout. This may sound crazy, but I am so freaked about loosing some of you! And now you see where the mixed emotions come in, I'm so torn! I really want to be able to offer a better service, and spend a little less time tied to the computer in the process; but I almost don't want to if it means loosing some of you. Will you reassure me? If I move will you follow? I am so overwhelmed right now. I never told you this story and I'm sorry. I'm sharing this picture cause this is what I feel like doing right now, just laying down in the middle of all this madness! Here is The Story: This is the day after Thanksgiving, I went shopping with Kim just to see the craziness. I didn't buy (or intend on buying) a thing. By 11:00 am (we got up at 3:30 am) I was begging Kim to let me lay on one of the display beds, in the window of a store in the mall. I told her if she would just leave me, she could come back later and get me after I'd had a little nap. She wouldn't let me, Bath and Body was having a sale and we just HAD to go. So instead of taking a nap, I gave her mama (whom we drug along with us) the camera and she took a picture of me, fulfilling my lifelong dream of laying on one of those fancy short beds in the mall. Meanwhile, Kim stood nearby and pretended not to know me. We had a good time, but boy was I tired when we got home! Have you ever been tempted to lay on the fancy short beds? When I was little I wanted to lay on one so bad! They look like they are made just for kids because they are so short. I used to imagine little elves slept in them when the store was closed. I never climbed up on one though, my mama would have slapped me naked and hid my clothes! But they make them look so inviting, I just wonder how many people give in to the temptation. Tell the truth. Have you ever got in a fancy short bed? And will you follow me? I can't move till I know you will come.

I've laid down on one of those beds. I was on Effexor XR for depression and forgotten to take my pill that day. The withdrawal on that feels like you're about to drop dead! So I laid down on a bed for a little bit.

And I'll follow your blog move!

I'll follow. It's easy since I use Bloglines. All you have to do is put a link on your old blog (this one) to the new one when you've moved and I'll update.

Yep, I've laid on one (more than one, actually) of those beds too. And so have both of my sons.

I must not get out much, because I don't think I've ever seen one of these short beds you are talking about. I'd certainly try it though. I have pretended to live in an IKEA kitchen though. My girlfriend and I had a great time pretending we had picked out loft apartments in NY (if we had another life without hubby and kids). We were laughing so hard my daughter who was with us pretended not to know us.
Anyway, just tell me how to get to your new blog and I'll be there!

where ever you go I will follow...just tell me how

I'll follow where ever you lead. la la la (sounds like a song).

I've tried laying on those beds before. Nasty surprise...no mattress. Looked nice but didn't feel nice.

You should do what you need to do. Even if you have a small setback in the short term, you have great reasons to switch over and in the long run it will really pay off. :)

The Handmade Dress Infomercial: Do you suffer from scrached DVD's?

Do your children cry when they can't watch their favorite movie because of irritating scratches? Are you sick of paying good money for movies that are scratched minutes after you take them from the case? Do you often wish that we could just go back to VHS because you could leave them out in the rain, bring them in and use them for a coaster, and then let the baby throw it for fun and it would STILL WORK!? ME TOO ! . We have struggled for years with scratched movies that were no longer watchable, but not anymore! We have finally found the secret formula to rid you of this nasty little problem forever! . Crest Kids Toothpaste! YES, that's what I said! Kids toothpaste! . A few months back I heard some place that toothpaste would take of scratches and I tried it and it didn't work, then the other day out of pure desperation I tried it my way. IT WORKED! So I decided this kind of news could not be kept secret, I have to tell the world! So I

New triple bunks.

Ben designed new bunk beds for the "girl's dorm" and "boy's dorm" in our house. We LOVE them!! We are almost done with all of the work, just a few loose ends left to tie up, but I couldn't wait to show off his handy-work. This is the girl set. We stained them with colored stain and we really like how that turned out. It's almost the color of cranberries. I still need to paint the boards that are attached to the wall. I'm going to paint them the color of the wall so that it looks like the beds are floating. :)  This is the boy set while still under construction. We ordered new bunk mattresses, but they haven't come in yet. I will show you guys pictures when they are completely finished. We stained these green, it looks like the color of bamboo. The kids LOVE these beds! And oh the space we have now! I'll be back soon with finished pictures! xo, Sam If any of you make beds using these plans could you send us a picture? We
