The Spring International Quilt Market is just around the corner and that means sewing lots of samples! So here are the samples I mailed off yesterday, after taking these pictures in the rain...
Here is a Miss Lily, and a Miss Madeline with no apron. Pretty bright and sassy huh? I always try to send some brighter fabrics and some that are a little more muted, so this is the bright set.

This set turned out so cute in these sweet muted colors. I wish I had a better picture but it was just sooo gloomy out when I was taking these, and I was too late to hold them another day to wait on sunshine.... Maybe when they make it back from market I will get a few good pictures.

Did you notice that Miss Molly? Ruffle piping! Is that the cutest or what!? I have been wanting to try this with Miss Molly for forever but I just never did it, so when market sewing came up I decided to give it a go and WOW. I just love it! It accents the curved bodice perfectly and adds such a girly touch, not to mention the fact that it allows you to squeeze one more fabric choice into this sweet dress. I don't have a ruffler foot but I think it would have been a lot faster if I had one. You know...now that I think about it, it seems like I may have gotten one in an old box of sewing stuff from my Nanny....I need to check on that!

On the Miss Madeline I used already pintucked fabric for the apron (cheater cheater punkin eater), it gave the dress such a nice vintage/heirloom touch without all the work of actually having to pintuck! Gotta love short-cuts.

Then there is the Miss Iris. This pattern should be ready in the next few weeks. I know it's later than I promised, but life gets in the way every now and then. I'm sure you know alllll about that.

Well that's all for the market post! Oh! And since I haven't mentioned this here before I also wanted to let ya know that we do (WE being Ben and I, he's my faithful employee) accept co-op and wholesale orders. So if your local shop doesn't have our patterns yet, tell them about us! And in case I'm not back before then: Happy Mothers Day! I hope all you mamas out there have a wonderful weekend!
