The Handmade Dress

So this is what I have been up to this week, (I have no laundry done!) all this is now in my shop! My favorite is the dress and blanket. The dress because it looks so sweet on my lil Madeline, she wears vintage well. I like the fabrics together, I got enough fabric to sell a dress and make Molly and Maddie something too! I like the blanket because of the pintucks and the crochet work mmm ..... It just makes me happy. I sometimes think I could have been born in the wrong decade....maybe even century....or maybe not I do so love indoor plumbing.. hmmm ..I need to think about this a lil more.....plumbing is great..... ok so the wrong decade , thats the best of both worlds! plumbing and vintage right....but I like Internet too...I think its time for bed!.... night John boy!.... and Aunt Wendy!

Click pic to see detail. Sorry for the bad pics, my camera has seen better days. This was Molly's easter dress this year, it's one of my favorite dresses. Made of linen batiste, with crochet lace to entredeux around the neck and sleeves, lace tape shaped bow, and I attached the yoke to the skirt with crochet to entredeux. The hand embroidery is very tiny with itty bity bullion roses . Love it! Ohh, and I almost forgot the hand pinstiching around the bow....mmmm...so much fun. Did I mention the sleeves? Little cap sleeves with entredeux and crochet. Love, love, love it! This dress was for a black and white wedding Molly was in at Christmas. It's made of satin batiste and has silk satin ribbon, entredeux, hand embroidery, and tiny crochet lace to entredeux on the sleeve. Ok, so I'm doing my best to set up my etsy shop and this blog but I am such a dummy! There are so many things that I have forgot to mention, like TIMOTHY! He is my beautiful little boy, he is the most loving little angel. The reason I did not mention him before is because I was so focused on dresses, so of course the girls were the ones with all the attention. My little ladies. So.... here is my boy There you go Tim, now mama doesn't feel so bad! So, that said ......this will be my first item on etsy. I hope this does well. I love making these dresses.

This is Molly's new coat.,I made M adeline one to match. They are so cute in lil heirloom dresses and dress coats! This is Maddies E aster dress, shadowed pintucks , bullions , feather stitching, entredeux , mmmmm ....... Lil matching dress coats awww.... They caught a lizard and they think he needs some rocks to climb on.....poor lizard!
